After a few weeks off the squad headed out to Glen Waverley looking for redemption against the top of the ladder. The team did really well to hold off in the first half but were down 2-0 at half time.
Beauy came out strong in the second half with Connie breaking through their defence to score 15 minutes in and Kim snagging another goal shortly after. With the score level at 2-2 it was anyone's game and both sides were putting everything on the line. With 15 minutes to go Beaumaris fouled inside the 18 yard box and a penalty was given.
Goalkeeper Nikki stepped up and had a great save in goals to keep the scores level. With 10 minutes left Glen Waverley had a lucky break and managed to sneak through our defence for their 3rd and the final goal of the match.
Even though the team couldn't quite pull off a win on the weekend it's exciting to see that the squad is in great form heading into the second half of the season!
Sending healing vibes to Tiffany who took a missile to the face in defence and ended up in hospital for whiplash and a concussion, you're a legend mate!
