Our light poles are having the existing halogen bulbs replaced with LED globes from Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 April. The schedule of works is:
Tuesday, 8 April 2025: Track mats laid, works commence - crane to drop poles, swap lights, and re-stand (contingency for Wednesday, 9 April if required).
Wednesday, 9 April 2025: Fit off and connections (stand any remaining poles).
Thursday, 10 April 2025: Aiming the lights using a travel tower.
Friday, 11 April 2025: Track mats collected.
The lighting upgrade is being managed by Bayside City Council and will save on power bills as the LED globes use less energy. LED globes will also provide better and more focused light for training so it will benefit all players and coaches. Unfortunately our pleas for this work to be completed before the season started has not been heard by Council and so training will be disrupted next week with an alternative venue at Cheltenham Park West being available for all BSC junior teams. Training will return to Beaumaris Reserve the following week.
Thanks for your understanding
