Under 16/17
U16/17- lost 1-0 away to Dandenong City
With black armbands on to show our respects to the ANZAC’s, the u16/17’s put on a very positive display against a well-organised Dandenong City. Both teams were fresh off the back of season-opening wins. A very even first half saw Dandenong sneak a goal from a corner. The city keeper spilled a shot from the Beauy attack which the referee ruled to have not gone over the line. 1-0 city at half time.
We started the second half with great energy as we pushed forward for an equaliser, both teams had chances with Zoe making a couple of great saves, but we were unable to find the back of the net with the game ending 1-0 to city.
The team is playing some nice football and really starting to gel as a team both on and off the field. After only two games this was another solid performance.
Special mention to new players Ada & Maeve who both had terrific games.
