Senior Women's SL2 Berwick City 3 - Beaumaris 1
Round 4 had the squad head out to play the current ladder leader, Berwick City. Beaumaris has been plagued by injury since round 1 and as a result had no bench for the majority of the match. Berwick came out firing and scored 3 unanswered goals within the first 10 minutes of the game. Beauy settled in soon after and were putting up a solid fight on the pitch. Their efforts were rewarded with a goal scored by Kim late in the first half. In the second half Beauy really picked up and were playing some excellent football, keeping Berwick scoreless for the entire half. With most of the possession in our forward half and some ridiculously close shots it seemed sure that we'd see the back of the net again at some point but it was not meant to be.
A massive shout out to Jordy for stepping up and filling in at centre back, Kate for killing it in goals again despite not wanting to be there (new dedicated keeper?) and Mia for jumping in to save Kate from goals at half time after playing for SL4 earlier in the day.
Time to get back on the hustle during the week in preparation for round 5 💪
