Pre-season training has been on in earnest since the beginning of January with Senior coach David Gibson working with a large squad including a number of triallists in an effort to put together the best possible group.
As a result results in pre-season games have been mixed although Gibbo commented “ we have been seeking to find the best permutations from a very solid squad through the matches played so far & performances have steadily been building”
Results so far have been
Melbourne Victory Youth – drew 1.1
Eastern Lions – lost 3.1
East Brighton – won 4.3
Doveton – drew 3.3
Knox City – lost 3.1
Frankston Pines - won 4.0
The last pre-season game is to be played next Sunday 8th March at Beaumaris College v SL1 NW team Brimbank Stallions – kick offs Reserves 12.30 pm; Seniors 3.0pm.
