Beaumaris 4-3 East Brighton Utd
Beauy’s pre- season continued with a helter skelter game under the lights against up and coming East Brighton at Beauy Secondary College .EB have won multiple promotions in the last years and started the game on the front foot with their direct style to a main front man causing Beauy problems. A long cross to the far post was headed down and knocked in, to give the visitors the lead after 20 minutes, but a sharp move down the right saw Beauy equalise almost immediately, through wide man Ryan Brown. Following a period of pressure from the home side , but without a goal, Beauy fell behind again before the break when a long throw to the near post, was headed in by the EB target man.
The second half started slowly for Beauy with EB pressing and they went further ahead when an identical long throw move was headed home to see the State 3 team ahead by 2. Both teams made changes as the half progressed, and Beauy gradually regained a foothold. As the visitors tired, Beauy dominated and goals from Matt Dickinson, Alex Krystic and a penalty from Simon Christides saw them hit the front and run out the game.
There will be some concern at defensive frailties , and the coaching team of David Gibson, Alastair Bray and Kirstian Sarkies, will be working hard to solidify the back line, before next weekend’s game against NPL side Doveton.
