There was great excitement as training returned to Reserve Rd, Balcombe Park, and our MCC artificial pitch at Beaumaris Secondary last week.
Juniors opened the week with new requirements for sanitising each football and using hand sanitiser for each player as they entered and left the ground. Coaches were busy sanitising their cones and other equipment, whilst each teams Covid Officer or Team manager collected each players arrival time and departure for each session
Director of Junior Football, Tony Tsiakos, had designed new drills to accommodate the new social distancing needs and the coaches took on this changed responsibility enthusiastically!
With the second week of training started on 15 June, most teams are up and running and looking forward to announcements on return to competition anticipated soon!
Thanks to Gert Gratz, one of our Committee members, who has co-ordinated the Club’s Covid response and to all those parents who have volunteered to be Covid officers, and indeed those who are already involved in Team Management and coaching.
