Hi Everyone,
Some information for the upcoming Junior Award Presentation on Sunday 15th September at the Beaumaris Reserve, 96 Reserve Road starting at 12.30pm.
1. Award presentations
Attached is the schedule and photo layout of the pitches which gives you the time and location of your award presentation. The first presentations start at 1pm and 12 numbered tables will be situated around the pitches. You can collect your awards from the pavilion.
Each team has 30 minutes for the award presentation.
All you need to do is to inform your team of your presentation time and leave the table area clean without any packaging or waste left behind for the next team.
2. Fun soccer games
We have laid out 4 half pitches for parents vs boys/girls games and allocated times to each team. Based on last years’ experience, not all teams will use the game time. If that is the case, you can use the pitch for longer but please let other teams use the pitch when they arrive. It is for the team coach to supervise each game.
3. Inflatable Soccer Scoreboard
Optus is providing an inflatable soccer goal for our junior players to test the skills from 12.30 to 5.00pm. We have 4 $50 vouchers for the highest confirmed score to be presented at 4pm and some giveaways for the players.
4. Food, drinks, fairy floss and face painter
Our President Joe will ensure the event is catered for and the BBQ and bar are open. Popcorn, slushies and fairy floss are there for young and old. To ensure speedy service, a BSC “bank” will be selling tickets ($3 for one or $5 for two) to be used to purchase anything except bar and food items Our face painter will be offering temporary tattoos of Beauy’s logo and other designs.
5. Club merchandise
Beauy merchandise will be on display and for sale.
6. Raffle
Tickets for our $2,000 major prize and our meat trays will be up for sale with the draw at 4pm. There are fantastic prizes, and you don’t have to be there to win (with the exception of the meat trays).
As 2025 is Beauy’s 50th anniversary, we are selling Gold memberships 2025 for $100. Each Gold Member gets a personally numbered medallion, $2 off each bar purchase through the remainder of 2024 and all of 2025, a choice of either a club scarf, beanie or bucket hat and a ticket to win 10% of all the Golden Membership sales (maximum $5,000) in the “Last Gold Member Standing” draw which will be held in 2025. Who wouldn’t want to be in it to win it.
7. And….
The Gala Day cannot be done without helpers and volunteers. May I ask each Team Manager to find at least 2 volunteers to help us set up, run tasks during the day and assist in cleaning up at 6pm. Sunday is our last day for the 2024 season and so we have to pack up and leave the pavilion clean before Council conducts their inspection.
It is sure to be a fun and action-packed afternoon. All parents and friends are invited to celebrate your junior team’s achievements. Please let your parents know and the club’s website and social media will have all the details, so no one misses out.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
