Football On Hold - Stage 3 Restrictions Update

Dear members, sponsors and friends,

Sadly, following the announcement of a return to Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions we will cease all Club football-related activity effective immediately.

For players and parents please keep in contact with your team manager for more team information.

The Club is working through all scenarios over the coming days. In line with the Football Victoria position until such time we hear further, the season is suspended for the next 6 weeks. The restrictions will come into force at 11:59pm on Wednesday 8th July and will last for six weeks. The council has also withdrawn all access to sportsgrounds and pavilions effective 11.59pm Wednesday the 8th.

Beaumaris Soccer Club understands that this means all football activity must be halted - inclusive of matches, training, clinics and group practice - for the length of the lockdown period in the affected areas.

We thank all of our club members, supporters, and new sponsors for your support, along with the comittee and all staff and volunteers who have worked so hard and done so well in adapting and providing the training programs so far.

It has been so rewarding to see so many happy faces on the pitch recently and we will work to ensure the happy faces return whatever eventuates for the year.

We will provide further information as soon as possible. Given things are so fluid, the situation may change in the comming weeks and Beaumaris Soccer Club remains optimistic that there will be football soon.

For now, it is vital that we all do the right thing. If you are unwell please get tested, observe physical distancing rules, support each other and stay safe and keep kicking.
