Bentleigh Cobras 0-4 Beaumaris

Beauy completed their biggest win of the season with a dominant performance at Victory Park. In alternately wet and windy conditions, the team scored two in each half to run out comfortable victors.

Playing in the clubs all blue away strip, Beauy started well and should have had a couple of early goals before left-back Elliot Capel came in for a smart finish at the back post from a Jessie Kewley-Graham cross. Striker Johnny Creamer made it two before the break and we went in at halftime well in control.

It was always going to be important to start the second stanza well, and Beauy were out of the blocks fast with live wire midfielder Zach Lemke smashing a left-footer just inside the post just minutes into the half. Creamer bagged a second before Beauy took their foot of the pedal and let Cobras into the game but still kept a clean sheet.

Good to see Keegan Ziada back for the first time off the bench

Reserves had an even bigger win with a 9-2 margin. 7 x goals in a second-half blitz after leading 2-1 at halftime.

Next week away at Fitzroy City, with Reserves KO at 4pm and Seniors at 6.15, on Saturday 14 May
