Beauy Seniors Rock Richmond

Beaumaris 2-1 Richmond

Beauy continued their return to winning ways with a hard-fought win over Richmond on Easter Saturday. ON a warm evening at Beauy Secondary College, Beauy started brightly and should have had a couple of goals inside ten minutes, but were also having to contain Richmond’s quick forays forward.

Eventually striker, Johnny Creamer did exactly that and volleyed a shot home quickly followed up with a corner routing that saw Ryan Brown tap in at the far post to give the team a two goal buffer at the break.

The second half was a similar pattern to start with, glorious chances going begging before a somewhat fortuitous penalty shout for Richmond gave the visitors an equaliser. Beauy still had chances as indeed did the visitors, hitting the post in the last ten minutes, but the home side ran out winners to follow up their away success at South Springvale last week.

Next week the road trip to Warragul

Reserves ended 3-3 with Richmond, in a game they should have won having the lead three times during the match
