The return of former Beaumaris junior & NPL player Fraser Maclaren has caused great excitement within the club. After 10 years as a junior player, Fraser left to take up a Youth contract with Melbourne Victory.
This was followed by him playing in the NPL for both South Melbourne & Dandenong Thunder where he won the NPL goalkeeper of the year award. Following a successful year, last season at Langwarrin in the NPL, changed work commitments has forced a rethink for Fraser.
Beauy is delighted to welcome back not just a player successfully developed though our junior ranks but someone who understands & values the principals of the club.
Fraser commented, “A new role at work made me question the time commitment I could give to meet NPL requirements but with former teammates, David Gibson & Kristian Sarkies coaching at Beauy, as well as former A-League player (& my cousin) Alastair Bray as goalkeeper coach; it was hard to say no when they approached me."
"There is a good group of lads here, I have many friends at the club & it looks like it will be a very exciting year”
