Festa di San Valentino - celebrate with the Umbria Club
In 2011,The Umbria Association enabled the Beaumaris U13 team from 2011 to be part of a cultural exchange between Umbria and Beaumaris. They are keen to establish this connection on a yearly basis with the possibility of sending two people overseas each year for 4 weeks (fully funded) This is a great initiative and a worthy cause. It is a cultural experience that is a wonderful opportunity. Support our friends from Umbria!

BEAUMARIS SOCCER CLUB TRYOUTS 2012- Mentone Girls Secondary College
Beaumaris Soccer Club will be holding A/Kangaroo Team Try-Outs over 7 – 23 February, for U10, U11, U12 and U13 Age Groups in the 2012 season. The trials will be held at Mentone Girls Secondary College on Cnr. Balcombe & Charman Roads, Mentone (grass pitches at rear of school).
Anyone wishing to play in a BSC A/Kangaroo Team in 2012 must attend at least 2 of the 3 Try Out events for their Age Group. The Try-Outs are open to all players (pre-registered or not).
These Try-Outs are the first of a series of steps BSC are planning to understand players’ strengths and development areas and to form teams for the 2012 season.
All players should attend in proper attire including shorts, boots, shin pads, own ball (size 3 for Under 10’s & Size 4 for Under 11’s upwards) and ensure they bring drink bottle.
What age group is my child in?
The Age Group you play in is determined by your age as of 1st January of the current year. If you were 6 years old on January 1, 2012, then your correct age group is U7 for the entire 2012 season.
The Age Groups are a good guideline to skill levels. However, players will have their skills assessed at start of season (through A team try-outs if they choose to attend, otherwise Open Trial dates (planned for 26 Feb & 3 Mar - email to be sent to members, dates & times tbc).
From U10’s upwards, players will be placed in like-ability teams. Sometimes, a player’s skill level means it might be appropriate for them to play up an Age Group; this is done in consultation with coaches and parents on a case by case basis. This is a common practice across FFV clubs. In younger aged teams, other factors such as friendship groups are considered when creating teams.
The days and dates are as follows:
