Fees Q&A
At our recent registration day, a number of parents asked for a breakdown of fees. Approximately %25 of your fee is paid to the Football Federation of Victoria in the form of player registration fees which include insurance. The club must also pay the Football federation of Victoria the following non-negotiable fees
- afiliation fees
- team entry fees
- Coach registration fees.
During the course of the season we must pay the following fees
- referees fees
- council fees
- bank fees
- lighting fees
- match book purchase
- fines for red cards, failure to submit results and withdrawal from fixtures
- pitch hire fees for pre-season grading and trials
- equipment fees (nets, balls, cones, etc).
Unlike many other clubs we also provide team shirts as part of your registration.
Our fees cover all the above expenses but we also would like to invest in programs to make our club better and as such we seek sponsors and run our canteen and fund raisers like the Trivia Night.
We cannot afford to hire admin staff so we need an army of unpaid volunteers many of whom give their precious time and skills including: website admin, brochure creation, printing, event organising, team managing - to the club so that the club runs smoothly and your kids can play.
This year, the growth of the club and the way we run the club has attracted sufficient sponsorship funds for us to pay for accredited coaches at the junior levels in select coaching positions for the first time in our history. Our Aim is to provide the best coaching resources for registered members to allow them to develop to the best player they can be and so the club is willing to invest in paying for coaching talent as we see a benefit for your kids.
Beauy SC is not a business organisation whose sole aim it is to make a profit. Any excess money is always invested back into the club.
We invite you to compare our fees to other soccer clubs and we are confident that what you get at Beauy compares favourably. Many parents often compare soccer fees to that of milo cricket or auskick both programs are backed financially by large corporations which is a luxury we currently do not have. Ruling bodies in other sports have different fee schedules which they charge their affiliate clubs, we are largely governed by the fee schedules we pay the FFV when setting our registration fees. The fee schedule for the FFV is available on their website. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask us at info@beaumarissc.com.au
Grading Q&A
Grading sessions are now complete. At Beaumaris Grading is not designed to exclude parents or kids from our club. We recognise that kids have different skill levels and we cater for all types. We grade so we can accurately assess the skill level of children and put them in levels of competition that would best suit their skills so they can enjoy their sport. We are also attempting to be more professional and systematic about how we grade and most parents agree that Rob and his team are doing a great job.
Beaumaris SC values open and honest communication. We encourage parents to ask questions. We urge parents that have any questions regarding grading - why we do it, how, etc to contact our Director of Football Rob Giabardo on email dofjuniors@beaumarissc.com.au

Important Announcement - Senior Football 2011
We Need Shirt Sponsors!
We have an entirely new Adidas kit for next season for all teams from Under 7s to 16s, Thirds, both Masters teams and our Senior Women’s Team. The kit looks brilliant. It’s bright, sharp and very smart and will take us in to a new and exciting era at Beaumaris Soccer Club.
The socks and shorts for next season MUST be Football Federation Victoria approved and will be available for purchase at the club on registration days 13th and 20th Feb 2011. The FFV have made this compulsory.
We’d like to release the new shirts to each team once you source a sponsor for the your team.
We understand that not everyone has the time to coach or volunteer, so providing sponsorship or using your networks to secure sponsorship for team shirts would be a great way to give back to our club. In return for the sponsorship, Beaumaris will promote the organisation and treat the organisation as a valued memberof our community.
We already have 8 teams already covered for sponsorship so don’t let your team be left out!
The cost for the season will be only $500 and the added benefits will include:
· Company logo/signage on shirt
· Website exposure
· Weekend Sponsor’s Board signage next to canteen
An option of a further $250 for the following year will be available should you wish to continue the shirt sponsorship.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss further.

Planning for the future - 2011 and beyond
When most bayside clubs are struggling with the challenges of growing, we at Beaumaris are forging ahead. Here are some of the highlights that have been achieved via the planning and actions of the committee and volunteers:
- A pre season training facility at Moorabbin Airport
- Securing another playing field for the future at Sandy Secondary College to complement Beaumaris Reserve, Balcombe Park and Shipston
- Better communication via the development of a comprehensive website, free SMS for team managers and coaches, newsletters and the Team Manager Pack
- Strong financial backing through our growing list of commercial sponsors - Hodges, Bendigo Bank, Grill'd, OHG, FSM, La Porchettas
- Access to professional footballers via clinics - Grant Brebner and Steve Mautone (Both Melb Vict) and via the Melbourne Victory Community Clubs Program - Carlos Hernandez and Matthew Kemp visit
- Free coaching courses for our volunteer coaches
- competitive fees
- a revamped canteen menu with healthy options courtesy Yvonne Richards
- Lots of activities outside of just match day - World Junior Cup day and the Trivia night for example
On top of which, the club is currently working closely with council representatives on plans to redevelop our clubrooms into a multi-purpose facility. This is part of our 3 year plan where we are working to provide our members with a modern comfortable facility that they can call feel proud of.
We will also be working with local schools with committee members participating in school visits to recruit kiddies into our goalkick program and thus secure further members to ensure our growth.
Rest assured your committee and volunteers around the club are working hard to achieve our aim - to become the club of choice for Bayside parents.
We also acknowledge that we are all volunteers and we are not perfect - feedback from members has highlighted areas that need attention such as the registration process and grading which we will be working hard on improving for 2011.
If you would like more information on our planning and strategies to grow our club and community, or would like to feedback areas of concern or possible improvements, the committee have an open door policy and are excited when our members get passionate and involved.
